How to invite an admin in Google my Business?.

How to invite someone as admin in Google Business Profile

If you want an agency, freelancer or Proofn to manage your Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business), you need to invite them as a Manager or Owner. It takes about a minute and you keep full control — you can revoke access anytime.

Before you start

  • You must be the current Owner of the listing
  • You need the Google email address of the person you want to invite
  • Decide on the role: Manager (recommended) or Owner (rare — gives full control)

Step-by-step

  1. Go to business.google.com and sign in with the account that owns the listing
  2. Pick the right business profile if you manage more than one
  3. Click the menu (three dots) on the profile → Business Profile settings
  4. Click People and access
  5. Click Add and enter the email address of the new manager
  6. Select the role: Manager for most cases, Owner only for full takeover
  7. Click Invite

The invitee gets an email. As soon as they accept, they show up under People and access with the role you chose.

Manager vs. Owner — which to pick

  • Manager: can edit info, post updates, respond to reviews, see insights. Cannot remove other users or transfer ownership. Pick this for an agency or Proofn.
  • Owner: full control including the ability to remove other users and transfer the listing. Pick this only when you want a true co-owner.

How to remove someone later

Same screen — People and access → click the user → Remove. Access is revoked immediately.
